On the Move

Yep, that's right, Lauryn is on the move. She rolled over for the first time Friday evening. So, I guess you could say that Friday the 13th was a great day for us!! She has been rolling over ever since, of course that makes me worry a bit because of sleeping. She is on her side right now in bed but I'm not ready for her to be sleeping on her stomach at night. As soon as Ally rolled over she slept on her stomach, so keep us in your prayers that she stays safe at night.

We made lefse last night also and Ally was such a big helper. She helped Daddy roll out the dough and helped with flour. (and of course helped us eat it) Grandma Diehm made her noodles (yummy!!) and that means we are closer to Thanksgiving. I love that our family has these traditions and hope that my kids can keep them going.

I am thankful to have a wonderful family, my two beautiful girls, that Dan and I both have jobs, and that we have so much support from family and friends. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and take some time to think about what you are thankful for!

She's Here, She's Here

Ok, so before I get started I apologize because this is like 3 weeks overdue. We have been very busy tending to our new little peanut....Lauryn Mabel. She came into this world on August 6th at 5:10pm. Weighing in at 7# 11oz. She is just beautiful, we are so blessed! Ally is just loving being a big sister also. She gives her hugs and kisses whenever possible and is a great helper to mom and dad. So, I guess you could say we have been busy. I hope to get some new pictures on here soon. Next weekend we have her baptisim and Grandma and Grandpa Truax will be here along with the rest of the family. So, I may wait until then to post more pictures so I can get a whole bunch on here at once.

Just Checking In

Hello all! Two weeks left, officially. Hopefully it will only be one and then I can finally see my beautiful baby Lauryn! I can't wait to meet her. Plus, her and I are going to have a little chat about how she has been treating me lately. She has been laying on a nerve, making it very hard to walk. My back is hurting non-stop now and every once and awhile she decides to push off my ribs and into my bladder. Seriously, what is she doing in there? I just think she wants to be out and by all means I'm am not opposed to that. So, hurry up Lauryn we are waiting. :)
So because of all of the above I am not working. I don't know what to do w/ myself. I can't clean or do to much so I have to wait for Dan to get home. Which let me tell you he is about done with. Ally has been such a great help. Although I think she is getting fed up w/ Mommy saying I can't play right now or no, we won't be going anywhere today. Thankfully so many people have been helping out. Erin has taken her one day and Sandra, and even Sara came and picked her up to take her to Toddlers at church. They have helped so much! Amy and Renae even came over to paint the nursery and help move some furniture around. Honestly, I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends!! As soon as the nursery is decorated I will post some pics.
Ok, so I will keep you posted on any baby news.

Swimming, Softball, and a New Friend

So I just thought I would check in since I am trying to stay more updated these days.
Well, Ally has started swim lessons, she has gone twice now and so far so good. She is NOT afraid of the water but can't quiet figure out how to hold her breath under water. She immeditly goes for the open mouth approach when goes under, of course only to find herself gasping for air when she comes back up. I know it's only her second class but I really wish she would stop doing that (it freaks me out I have to say) Otherwise she is doing very well and likes to play in the water. I'll let you know how it goes over the next few weeks.

Dan has been playing more and more softball every weekend. He plays on a team Sunday nights but has recently started playing on Saturday's for the church league. Most of the time on Saturday it's two games, he could even play three if he wanted. All this softball is great but I rarely get to see him play (because of the times of the games) Either way I think it's great that he is playing and I know Ally loves to go to the games and watch him.

Well, I guess that's good for now. I still have a house to clean and lunch to make. Oh, by the way, we are also watching Riley, he is a wonderfully behaved doxie. We have him for a week while the Frazier family is at a retreat in Colorado. Ally could not be more excited! She loves this dog already and he has only been with us a few days. I think it will be hard to give him back for all of us but I'm sure his family misses him terribly. Thanks Riley for being such a great dog!

Catching Up!

Hello out there! I guess it's safe to say that I have not been keeping up with my blog. Stupid facebook! Anyway, we have also been so busy. The last couple of months have been filled with bounce class, softball games, and getting the house ready for our new arrival. Yes, I said our new arriaval. I'm sure everyone already knows (considering we are in the third trimester already) but I guess I should have put it in here. We are very excited and also a little nervous. What is life going to be like with two??? We barley have time now for everything we do,... is the little one going to be ok with that? I guess she will have to be. :)

On another note, Dan's parents spent the last week and a half or so with us. They were able to be here for Ally's birthday and her exhabition at gymnastics class. Everyone was so proud of her! She really did a great job. Of course she loves being three now too! She keeps telling me that she's not two anymore, right? It's almost as if she can't believe it herself. Of course I can't believe it either, where did that go? She will be starting swim lessons in June, has vacation bible school in July, becomes a big sister in August and finally....she will start pre-school in September. Needless to say she is going to have a BIG summer!

So, I guess that's it for now. I am going to start trying to check in a little more often but don't hold your breath. (haha)

Ally's Valentine Party at Bounce Class

Hello everyone!! Happy Valentine's Day!! Ally had her party today at "bounce class" and let me tell you, she loves getting treats. She thought it was so great to be getting treats at bounce class, can't you hear her letting out a big squeal now! Here are some pics of her at the party and going around the circuit at class. She really enjoys running around and playing with her friend Gracie. Hope you all have a great Valentine's Day!
