Halloween at Work

Well, yesterday was our big Halloween celebration at work. We decided to do it on Thursday instead of Friday because everyone works on Thursday. So, the whole salon dressed up and we decorated our stations too! The best part was everybody taking pictures of each other and it was a great way to have fun as a whole salon. Take a look at some of our girls.

Good job guys!!

Boo Bash and Carving Pumpkins

One week to go and Halloween will be here. Yeah! We have had a very busy weekend and it started with Friday. We went out to dinner to La Mesa with our 20-30's group from church instead of going on a hay rack ride.(rain out) We ended up having a really good time and the food was good too!

Saturday, Grandma and I took Ally to Boo Bash at her school. All you do is donate a canned good per person to the school and then the kids get to walk around in their costumes and trick-or-trick. The high school kids put it all together. It's pretty fun. We met up with Alyssia and her kids and Ally didn't even recognize Logan. He had a mask on so she didn't know what to think about that. She got lots of candy and a balloon sword, two actually.
When we got home we carved pumpkins with Grandpa and Gina and Nick. Mine did not turn out very well but at least it didn't fall apart. Sometimes they do that. Grandpa's turned out pretty good he made the one with the raccoon. Gina's was the kitten and spider. Dan's was the wolf face and Nick's had the three wolves. They were all pretty good. Grandma and Ally will be doing theirs together later.
Well, today we are taking it easy after all that excitement and our allergies have been acting up.
Next week we have two more parties, I dress up for work on Thursday, and Friday is Halloween. We will be in sugar shock all week!

Vala's Pumpkin Patch

Yes, we took Ally to Vala's. I thought about trying out another pumpkin patch this year but didn't want to drive to far and I was worried there wouldn't be enough stuff to do at the closer ones. Sooo, I made the trek to Vala's with Papa and Aunt Gina. Grandma was going to go also but got caught up at work and wasn't able to make it. We missed you Grandma!!!

So, I guess I never really made it to the back of the pumpkin patch. I have been missing out. There are bikes to ride for either a single person or they have some that seat four. Two kids in the front and adults in the back. Papa and I took Ally on one and I nearly peed my pants because I was laughing so hard. Ally kept pointing forward as if to say "faster, faster". Papa was in control...of all of us....so needless to say he had a hefty load. (Maybe because we were laughing so hard is why we were going so slow) :)

There were also these bounce pillows and if you know my daughter you know she loves to jump and bounce. I was able to go on it with her and we had so much FUN! We had a hard time getting up on it but once we did we bounced and bounced. She was all over the place. How could I have missed these before? There were also duck races and we had fun with that too!

Ok, so I can't tell you about everything we did because this blog would be way to long and I would lose ya. I am just so glad that we decided to go and wanted everyone to know how much fun Vala's still is, even though it's way overpriced.

Oh, and they have Sleeping Beauty and that was Ally's favorite.

Halloween Party

Hello everyone, just wanted to show you some pics of Ally at her 1st Halloween party of the year. She was so cute! All of the kids looked pretty cute and they all had a great time. The party was at a friends house (Nairi and Pernell). They have Isabella and she's about 1 1/2 yrs. old. The kids played outside and played a game where we dressed them up like mummies. They got LOTS of candy and food and Ally was on a sugar high there for awhile. Dan got Ally ready and did her hair, I think he did a better job than I would have. Good job Daddy!

Thanks to Nairi and Pernell for having everyone over and to all the other Moms and Dads that made all the food and treats for the kids!

Dan's Last Softball Game

Dan had his last softball game yesterday. They did pretty good. They lost, we aren't sure what the score was exactly but they lost just the same. I think everybody liked playing though and wants to do it again. I'm glad that they decided to start playing and I'm proud of my husband because he did so well. Yes, he was a little sore in the beginning but he came back week after week and did better every time! He almost had a home run this game but it bounced over the fence (that makes it a double only). Great job honey! Can't wait to see you play again next year!

Ally's Gym Experience and The New Shows of the Season

First of all I'd like to say that Ally loved her time at the gym! She was able to play on the trampoline and jump into this big thing of foam blocks. That one was her favorite! She walked on a balance beam and swung from the rings. She liked it so much she was very upset when it was time to go. So, I hope that next week she starts to pick up more on the dance in the beginning and just enjoys herself as much as she did Tuesday. If any of you get a chance to take your kids there I highly recommend it!

Second, ok, so have any of you been watching any of the new shows on nighttime tv? I'm already hooked on so many but this year my favorites so far are Private Practice, The Office, and Grey's of course. Private Practice is the spin-off of Grey's (you know when Addison left). It's been really good so far, and of course I can't wait to see what happens on The Office tonight. When it ended last week Jim had just proposed to Pam. Anyway, are there any other fans out there of these shows? Dan is just not into them like me. Oh, and I better not forget about Dancing with the Stars. I'm interested to see who will win this season because so far they aren't doing so well. But they always start out like that, plus I guess Brooke Burke is doing pretty good.

Anyway, I will have lots of tv to watch tonight when I get home....Yeah!

Ally's Going to the Gym!!

Yep, you heard it here first....Ally's going to the gym. The Kids Body Shop that is. Most of you know what it is, but for those of you that don't it's like a mini gymnastics place in Papillion. All of the stuff in there is built for small children. Ally will be in the class called "Fractions in Action". The class will last about 40min. , they do some warm-up and then play on some of the stuff and then a cool down. I know I'm vague but we haven't actually gone to a class yet. Tomorrow will be our first day. I have to be next to her at all times which should be fun. It sounds like you are on your own mostly with a little guidance from the instructors. I guess we can do that. I just hope Ally likes it. Dan was a little hesitant at first...(you know him, he is just looking out for Ally's safety), but I think he knows I will keep a good eye on her and not let her go totally crazy in there. :) I will let you all know how it goes tomorrow, wish us luck!
