Ally's 1st Ice Cream Cone

I just had to add this picture of Ally eating her first ice cream cone. She has had tons of ice cream before but never with the cone. She thought that was pretty awesome. She had it dripping down her hands and arms, all over her face, and all over her dress. What a mess! Anyway, she loved it and that's all that matters!

We also had lunch with LeeNee today. Ally didn't eat much or anything for that matter but she definitely liked getting to be with her Great Aunt. Personally I don't know what's so "Great" about her...just kidding:). Thanks for having lunch with us LeeNee, it was good to see you!!

Another Busy Day!!

Well, like I said we had "another busy day". We went to lunch with Alyssia and her kids to McDonalds and went to see Mimi and Delayne at their garage sale. Mimi is raising money to go to Egypt in September. We are all so happy for her! It's about time really. Ever since I have known her (which is about 18yrs.) she has wanted to go there. I only wish I could be there to see her face when she see's the pyramids or anything for that matter. I know she will enjoy every minute of it. I can't wait to hear the stories and see the pictures! Good Luck Mimi!!

We also went to Daddy's first softball game. He hasn't played in about 13yrs. , he did pretty good. They made a few mistakes but all in all they did well for being out of shape middle-aged men. No offense.

We then went to the salon and permed Grandma's hair so Ally didn't get a very good nap today. Tomorrow we will try harder to get in a better nap. Speaking of, Ally gets to have another play date with some of the kids from church and then later we are having dinner with Alyssia and her kids so Ally will be in seventh heaven.

What a busy weekend...

Well, we have had ourselves a very trying week. We have faced some issues that I hope nobody ever has to go through. Thankfully I have a WONDERFUL husband that is very supportive and I think we have become an even closer married couple because of it. I thank the Lord every day that I have such a caring and loving family and group of friends. They have been great through all of this and I can't thank them enough.

We also have been trying to keep busy to give us break from the reality of it all and it's been pretty easy to do this weekend. I went to my scrapbook crop on Friday night. Dan went to Elizabeth Purdy's 1st birthday and I went to a co-workers wedding Saturday night. We even managed to sneak in a quick game of Ticket to Ride with Sarah and Jason. We actually had a great time. I was nervous to learn a new game but I caught on quicker than I thought. Dan thinks we need to get the game now so I think he really enjoyed it too!

Tomorrow we have another day full of events so I'm off to bed to get some much needed sleep....

Roofing Is No Fun!!

So, I guess I better get to writing. I haven't been feeling like myself lately so we have not been going anywhere or doing much. I guess I should say I have not been doing much. Dan has been so busy I have barley seen him all weekend.
My Mom and Dad are replacing their roof and Dan has been helping all weekend. They finished up the garage roof Saturday and Sunday they took off the roof to the back side of the house. They should get it all tore off tonight and then start roofing later this week. It's kicking Dan's butt! But, just when you think he's been beat I get a look at my Dad.....it's REALLY kicking his butt!!! He just can't understand why either. I think he's doing a GREAT job but he is getting older, whether he wants to admit it or not. He put on the old roof single handedly and this time he has Dan, Jesse, Nick, and a friend of Jesse's helping. Which I am sooo glad he does. Even my Mom and sister have pitched in. So, if I get some pictures of it I will post them. I just want to say "Thanks" to everyone who has been helping with this huge job and sorry that I can't help more!

We have also had Dan's parents in for a couple of days and that has been very nice. Ally just follows Grandma Truax everywhere she goes. She always wants to know where she is and what she is doing. I am so glad she is getting to spend time with them!

Fun Day with Friends

Well, Ally and I had a big day today! We went with our friends Sarah (her son, Issac), Albanie (her kids Kale and Avery), and Erin (her kids Tyler and Alaina) to the Children's Museum. We had such a great time. Ally ran around like a crazy person not knowing what to play with first! She chose mostly stuff that she could climb around on I noticed. I think all the kids had lots of fun! I know Ally did because she has been sleeping peacefully since we got home. It was a nice play date for Ally and Mommy!

I also wanted to say "Thanks" to everyone who has been helping to get this blog up and running. (Albanie and Sarah) Dan has also been patient with me, every time I get stuck he has bailed me out. So far so good, it's getting better and better.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
